our History

Beth Ami Temple and the Gloria Christi Presbyterian Church have a long history together. Many of our founding members came from Temple Solel in the 1970's . Originally called  Palo Cristi Presbyterian Church and now Gloria Christi, the sanctuary holds the distinction of being the only Sanctuary in the valley designed to be both a church and a temple.

When Beth Ami Temple was formed in 1978, we met in homes for a year, then started meeting there again in 1979. Many years later our relationship continues to flourish.  Together we hold canned food drives and support Family Promise during their twice yearly week-long visits.

Beth Ami Temple is proud of our friendship with Gloria Christi Presbyterian Church and we consider ourselves very lucky to be sharing their sanctuary.
