The Sallie Terman Social Groups honor the woman who helped conceive and nurture our social groups.  We have a variety of clubs available. They are an important part of our temple and community, giving us a place to share ideas, do activities, and have a great time!

Culture Club

We enjoy special Valley events. We discovered Kehinde Wiley at the Phoenix Art Museum. We celebrated tradition with Fiddler on the Roof at Arizona Theater Company. Our enjoyment and knowledge of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera were enhanced by a private tour of the recent exhibit at the Heard Museum. We are looking forward to upcoming unique Valley activities.

Fressers’ Dinner Club

If you want to try new restaurants with wonderful company, this is the group for you! We meet at a different restaurant for a tasty meal and scintillating conversation every month. Please call and join the fun. You won’t leave with an empty stomach!

Temple Travel Club

Do one or two day trips tempt you? If so, join us in traveling in and around Arizona. Past trips include Prescott; Palm Springs, CA; and the Tubac Art Festival. A fall trip is being planned.

Tennis Club

For all you sporty types! Mixed doubles. A social game on the court and afterwards, off the court, we discuss all the world’s issues over bagels and coffee. Matches are held on private courts. Come and show off your serve, forehand, and net game!

Movie Club

Lights…camera…action! Movie buffs, this is the group for you! The third Saturday of the month is the time for you to be ready for your close-up. Each month we meet at a different member’s home to discuss movies. The film is selected the previous month and discussed at the next meeting.

Afternoon Mah Jongg Club

Let’s play Mahj! Please join our weekly Mah Jongg group for fun and friendship. The games rotate among members’ homes.

Torah Study Group Club

Started many years ago, this is the grandfather of our groups. Members of the group determine the portions to be studied. We are so lucky to have several fabulous, knowledgeable members. We meet in members’ homes.

Strolling/Hiking Club
